| Sometimes the McAfee
anti-virus programs wrongly detect that Popup
Eraser v.1.4 is infected by a Backdoor-MV
virus.
We have informed McAfee Research Center about this
mistake. The experts from McAfee Research Center
have checked Popup Eraser v.1.4 and have confirmed
absence of viruses.
As the temporary solve of this problem we have received from McAfee Research Center
the Extra.dat file with correct detection. This correction will be included in the next DAT update.
To download this file click
here.
Extra.dat should be used with any of the McAfee AV
Scanners. The file should be copied into the directory
where the other DAT files reside.
Using the find/search utility on your computer search
for the following file:
SCAN.DAT
Then copy the Extra.dat to the same
folder where one of the above is located.
Once you have copied the file, reboot the system for
the changed data to be loaded
Also you can download Popup Eraser v.1.5, which doesn't
clash with McAfee anti-virus programs.
